Julius Rosenberg founded All County Driving School in 1954 after a successful career as a tailor. The “new” automobile culture shifted much of the United States’ population from cities and rural areas to the suburbs. More families were purchasing cars, creating a need for a driving school. In addition to teaching people how to be safe, defensive drivers, Julius taught the pre-licensing class every Saturday. He passed his expertise down to his daughter, Sue Rosenberg, who then led the business for over twenty-five years. Julius drove from Far Rockaway, Queens four times weekly until his passing at age 88. Thank you Grandpa for everything you taught us all.
